No Kings is our single most important anti-sabotage intervention. Driving turnout and recruiting for election defense is how we win and protect the results... It's also next weekend.

Here are some highlights:

* FOOD & WINTER CLOTHING DRIVE FOR JUBILEE OUTREACH
-- Heavy-duty waterproof winter coats: Preferably with hoods. Men's size L, XL, XXL, ###L.
-- Heavy-duty waterproof winter boots: Men's size 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, (and a couple 14s and 15s).
-- Heavy-duty waterproof snow pants: ALL SIZES AND GENDERS NEEDED.
-- Thermal pants and tops: Men's size L, XL, XXL, ###L.

* CHOCOLATE COIN UNWRAPPING CONTEST
-- Free to enter. Sign-up required. Multiple age brackets.

* WAGON PARADE FLOAT CONTEST

Yes, you'll still be able to protest! Along Front Street (north side of Civic Center), and our Peace & Safety team will be on site to ensure you can exercise your freedom of speech without interruption.

Justice for survivors isn't a political position. It's the bare minimum.

Local community members, in coordination with Women's March, are holding a vigil and walk through downtown Traverse City this Thursday in solidarity with the National Day of Action to Stop Sexual Violence.

The walk moves up Union to Front Street, down to Park, and back to Rotary Square via State Street.

Tonight at the city commission meeting, Traverse City is considering a "prowling ordinance" that could allow police to arrest people in public parks for 90 days.

We understand Hull Park has real safety concerns. Those concerns deserve real solutions.

But laws like this have a documented history of being used against homeless people for existing in public space — not for committing crimes.

Tech-free. All ages. No agenda except making things together.

In a political moment designed to make us feel isolated and powerless, making things together in the same room is its own kind of resistance.

Betsy Coffia for 103rd State House is hosting her final Crafting and Skill Share this Sunday. Drawing, painting, fiber arts, Legos, puzzles, needlepoint, or whatever you're working on. Show up for five minutes or stay the whole time.

Basic supplies will be on hand. Bring your own project if you have one in mind. If you want to teach a skill, bring enough materials for up to 20 people and let them know on the RSVP form.

Join Check Your Cherries TC & Full Tilt Comedy on Saturday, October 10, 1–2:30pm at the Old Town Playhouse for Comedy & Camaraderie -- a free community gathering for breast cancer survivors, those currently in treatment, and everyone who loves them.

No fundraising. Just people coming together to laugh, share, and remind each other that nobody walks this alone.
