📢 Attention Tonica Residents!
You may have noticed some work taking place on LaSalle street recently. The Village of Tonica is excited to announce that we are installing a new weather siren!
This upgraded system will replace the three sirens previously in use and provide improved coverage throughout the village (see attached map for details).

We’ve also received many questions about the daily noon siren—we’re happy to share that this upgrade will allow us to bring that tradition back!

Thank you for your patience as we complete this project and continue working to improve safety for our community.

As a reminder, this siren is for outdoor warning. You may not be able to hear inside your home. Please pay attention to other weather notification systems if severe weather is anticipated.

You may see a new face patrolling around town in the near future! Please join us in welcoming Samuel to the Village of Tonica.
Samuel will be attending the Police Academy this April, and upon successful completion, he will begin serving and protecting our community as one of Tonica’s newest police officers.
We are excited to have him join our team and look forward to the dedication, professionalism, and commitment he will bring to the Village. Please help us give Samuel a warm welcome as he prepares to serve our amazing community!

The village will be flushing hydrants tomorrow (Monday 10-27) and Tuesday 10-28! You might see reduce water pressure a discoloration of your water. It should clear up in just a few seconds! Sorry for any inconvenience!
