Mrs. Johnson's and Mrs. Atkins' class arrived to find some special visitors this morning! After observing all the stages of a Monarch Butterfly, they were able to release 8 of them today. One of them liked it here so much it didn't want to leave!

It's only week two and we are already working through science experiments, practicing with musical instruments, and listening to Mrs. Elan read her favorite book! Who needs summer vacation!

Our Open House for 1st grade and new to Hydetown learners is tomorrow from 3:30-5:00pm!

Everyone else, mark your calendars! We will be hosting a schoolwide Open House for all students and their families on Thursday, September 24th from 6:00-7:30pm.

Our 3rd grade couldn’t have had more fun on their field trip to the Olympic Fun Center this past Monday! We know it’s far, so we apologize if they are asking their parents to take them back!

Saturday was an awesome day! THANK YOU to everyone who came out to enjoy the Hydetown Memorial Color Run/Walk! Even with a wet and muddy trail, it sure looked like all who participated had a blast. A big shout out to the Hydetown PTG for organizing everything, our business and family sponsors, and Mrs. Stewart for putting together the perfect video recap! We can't wait for next year!

Last week we got a special visit from Gale, Macee, and their Dynamo Dogs! This Title I Parent Involvement Night concluded our reading of "The Secret Lake". Not only did the building enjoy a great show, but a select group of learners who earned the highest scores on their weekly quizzes got a special meet and greet at the end of the event! Thank you to all those who participated!
