Can anyone else believe that as of today we only have ONE week left of school?? How crazy is that? I feel like this year has flown by so fast! With that being said, I was thinking about all the amazing things that have happened this year. I had the privilege of being able to help at the last KeyClub event, I have been to games, performances and concerts, I have been able to meet a lot of new people and hear new ideas and suggestions, and learn what so, so many of our teachers, district staff and volunteers do behind the scenes of almost everything in our community and it has been so fun! Definitely challenging but I have learned that if you go into something with an open mind and willingness to learn there can be a lot of fun in the whole process! I am sad that we are losing a couple of wonderful staff to retirement (because I guess 30 or more years is a lot 🙄😂) and others to relocation or other events but I have enjoyed getting to know these people! There may be a lot of bad press out there about bullying and such but not a lot about what good has also happened and I just wanted to do a light touch on the good! We need more good in this world, now more than ever! Now, if you need me the next 3 days I will be in my greenhouse building garden beds and getting plants outside 😂

I apologize for blowing up everyone's news feed in the public groups! I have been slacking hard-core! There has been A LOT going on in the legislature as far as our school systems go and I have been trying to learn as much about it as I can in order to simply and correctly keep everyone up to speed. Sadly, this has proven to be rather difficult. I am not sure there is a way to simply put a lot of it or if there is a way to put it that doesn't seem like a scare tactic.....they are simply things that the state of MN is doing, stopping or planning for all of the state school districts. Some are good, some are terrible and some are just kind of......why?!?! I am also not sure how much detail everyone would like. The super summed up version, summed up with a little detail, summed up with moderate detail or none at all. I have definitely learned that trying to keep everyone informed and not start an argument or fight is very, very hard sometimes!

🎙️ We are proud to share the incredible accomplishments of Team XNOR from last week’s VEX World Championships in St. Louis!

Our Franklin students represented FMS with excellence while competing alongside teams from all over the world and gaining unforgettable experiences throughout the event.

🏆 Teamwork Challenge Highlights
- Finished 31st in their division
- Averaged 249 points per match
- Improved significantly from their 150-point average at the State Championship
Ranked 172nd in the WORLD overall in teamwork

⚙️ Skills Challenge Highlights
- Scored 211 points
- Up from 165 points at State
- Ranked 132nd in the WORLD in skills

There were 6,517 middle school VEX IQ teams worldwide. Only 414 teams (about 6%) qualified for the World Championships. Team XNOR’s world rankings place them in the Top 2% of teams GLOBALLY! 🤯
