Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! ❤️

As someone with Southern roots, I know firsthand how much pride can come from where you come from, and how those traditions help connect generations.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, let’s all celebrate the history, culture, and incredible contributions of our Hispanic and Latino neighbors. 🌵❤️

25 years ago, the world stopped. Our lives changed forever.

September 11, 2001, is a day we will never forget. We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders and everyday heroes who ran toward danger when it was easy to run away.

We will never forget the sacrifices made not only that day, but in the years that followed and by those who continue to carry the physical and emotional weight of that day to this day.

Today, we remember. We honor. And we will never forget. 🇺🇸

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. 💙

It’s a time to honor those who have been affected, remember the loved ones we’ve lost, and raise awareness about a cancer that can be difficult to detect.

After losing my Aunt Darlene to ovarian cancer, our family was completely devastated. Her loss left a lasting impact on all of us and is a reminder of just how important awareness, education, and listening to our bodies can be.

This month, let’s encourage more conversations about the signs and symptoms, risk factors, early detection, and the importance of advocating for our health. Let’s listen to our bodies, ask questions, and never be afraid to speak up when something doesn’t feel right.

Together, we can shine a light on ovarian cancer, honor the women we’ve lost, and support the individuals and families who continue to be impacted by this disease.

What a beautiful way to start the day. ☀️💛

I’m beyond honored and excited to be part of bringing the country’s first-ever Dementia and Age-Friendly Park to life! What started as a dream is becoming a reality, and I’m so grateful to be part of the journey.

A huge thank you to Lisa and Janet, who dreamed big, believed in this vision, and never gave up. Your persistence made this possible. ❤️

And thank you to Mayor Woods, Councilmember Garlid, city staff, and Tempe Diablos for the meetings, collaboration, and countless logistics that have gone into making this happen. They say it takes a village, and I’m incredibly grateful for this one. 🙌

When I think about what this park will become, I think about my dad, who passed away in 2012 after living with Alzheimer’s. I think about my mom, his caregiver, who would have loved having a place like this to bring him.

Every time I do this work, I carry them with me. Their story is part of why this matters so much to me. ❤️

Now let’s get to building! 🛠️🌳
