Grief doesn't always look like sadness.
Sometimes grief shows up as:
→ Anger - at the person who left, at the world, at yourself for not doing enough
→ Numbness - feeling nothing when you think you "should" be feeling everything
→ Restlessness - can't sit still, can't focus, can't settle
→ Physical symptoms - exhaustion, headaches, chest tightness, stomach problems
→ Withdrawal - pulling away from people, cancelling plans, going quiet
None of these mean you're doing grief "wrong." They mean your mind and body are processing something enormous.
As a Certified Grief Educator, I help people understand that grief isn't one feeling - it's a full-body experience that doesn't come with instructions.
If grief has been showing up in ways you didn't expect, you're not alone - and you're not broken.
