Thank you KVUE for sharing this story about the last two homes being rebuilt, two years after the May 2015 floods, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County, TX.

It's been two years since flooding damaged almost 300 homes in Taylor. There is still work to be done to rebuild and Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County is offering their help.

Many thanks to the Georgetown Ministerial Alliance (GMA) for the generous contribution of $6735 toward the rebuilding of our last home in the Taylor flood recovery efforts! Dr. Ron Swain, President of the GMA, presented the check comprised of $5,000 from GMA, $1710.06 from a special Ash Wednesday collection from the Methodist Church congregations (Wellspring), and $25 from an individual donation. This presentation was made today during this month's GMA meeting hosted by the Macedonia Baptist Church. As the chair of the Williamson County Long Term Recovery Committee, I offer my deepest gratitude for the generosity and effort of the GMA. This completes the funding of this home being built by Habitat for Humanity for a deserving family of flood survivors. What a great blessing it is to have such wonderful people and congregations involved in helping those in need!
