Yesterday 2/16/26 Rescue 61 Responded into the village of Mamaroneck for the 2nd alarm structure fire. Once on scene, members went to work. Members assisted with overhauling, manned hose lines, filled bottles and fulfilled a fast team. All at once. With 20 members on scene. And at the end we assisted with getting apparatus back in service. While in mamaroneck, Engine Eight’O responded to 2 alarms in district. Great job by all.

Yesterday transmitted the 10-75 (working fire) Eight’O responded into their district as a relocate engine. Upon arrival, We were then requested to the scene. Once on scene, the 2nd alarm was transmitted. All units on scene worked hard together to bring with condo fire under control in extreme cold temperatures and icy / snowy conditions. Great job by all.

Starting on Sunday 1/25 the officers and members of Riverside fully staffed Engine 80 and Rescue 61 throughout the winter storm and concluding standby Monday afternoon. During the storm members answered multiple calls for service.

On Monday 1/26 the cleanup began and Eight’O assisted in snow removal around the firehouse, headquarters, and headquarters. Members then proceeded to work throughout the day shovelling out hydrants around town while answering calls, and finally concluding the day with a standby for

Tuesday 1/27 cleanup continued around the village with more hydrants being dug out, members then responded on Rescue 61 to I-87 southbound for a Rollover MVA, finding a vehicle rolled over the guardrail down an embankment into a body of water.

12/15/25 just before 9pm units responded to I87 for a MVA with extrication. Upon arrival members of R61 & Car 2461 removed the person from the vehicle with assistance from . Once out of the vehicle members started life saving measures along side before being transported to a local hospital.

11/13/25 Eight’O Responded into district as a relocate engine as they operated at a house fire. Later being moved up to the scene.

11/30/2025

Friday 11/28/25 Tarrytown fire responded in district for smoke in the structure. Upon arrival car 2461 Chief Derivan Sr had smoke showing from the front door. Eight’O first due hit a hydrant and stretched a line. first due truck worked with , and the Eight’O crew to locate a fire in the walls. A 10-75 was transmitting due to heavy smoke and possible extension into the floor above. Negative extension was founded and units went back in service.
