From Tallahassee ALERT 🚨

This new MOU confirms what we feared: FSU gets permanent control of our public hospital, while Tallahassee residents get vague promises and no clear community benefit. This looks like an FSU takeover, not a true partnership, and we need to slow it down and bring the public fully into the process.
Next steps: Community members are invited to join a Zoom meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. to coordinate a unified community response.

🚨 QUESTION FOR COMMISSIONERS: Is this about our health, or their bonus?

We've uncovered that FSU President Richard McCullough was granted a $550,000 bonus in August, with his #1 performance metric being to "finalize and execute" the structure for FSU Health.

Furthermore, FSU is desperate to add TMH's 2 million square feet of research space to qualify for elite AAU membership.

Are we handing over our $1 Billion public hospital just to help FSU hit a metric and secure a massive bonus? The public deserves to know.

Today we proudly recognize our rural affiliate partners - Calhoun Liberty Hospital, Doctors' Memorial Hospital in Perry and Weems Memorial Hospital in Apalachicola.

These hospitals are essential to the health of their communities. Their teams deliver compassionate, local care every day, and when patients need a higher level of care, TMH is honored to be a partner.

Strong rural hospitals strengthen our entire region. Their work ensures that families across North Florida can count on timely, high-quality care close to home.

To all our rural colleagues: thank you for your dedication and the partnership we continue to build together. 💙

🚨 QUESTION FOR COMMISSIONERS: Is FSU bluffing about Panama City Beach?

We've learned that while FSU is threatening to pull funding for the PCB hospital, TMH has already lined up other financial partners.

TMH has other options. FSU is the one desperate to save face. Why is the City forcing a bad deal based on an empty threat?

Commissioners,

We've learned that while FSU is threatening to pull funding for the PCB hospital, TMH has already lined up other financial partners and were denied an amendment to the St. Joe contract.

TMH has other options. FSU is the one desperate to save face. Why is the City forcing a bad deal based on an empty threat?

Subject: Stop the Lame Duck Vote on TMH

Commissioners,

It is deeply concerning that retiring commissioners are rushing to push through the transfer of our $1 Billion public hospital before they leave office. This decision will affect our community for generations and should not be made by lame-duck politicians facing no accountability. Please halt this process and allow for a full, transparent public review.

Subject: Don't Force a Bad Deal on TMH

Commissioners,

We understand the TMH Board feels backed into a corner by FSU and City Hall and is being pressured to accept a deal they don't want. A billion-dollar decision about our community's healthcare should not be made under duress. We urge you to step in, slow down this process, and ensure the deal is in the best interest of Tallahassee residents, not just FSU's ambitions.

CALL TO ACTION: EMAIL CITY COMMISSIONERS

Email Draft to City Commissioners:

To: [email protected]

Subject: Protect TMH from Outside Threats

Commissioners,

It has come to my attention that the St. Joe Company is threatening to default on TMH if they don't comply with FSU's demands for the Tallahassee campus. The CEO of St. Joe is also an FSU Trustee. We cannot allow our community hospital to be bullied by outside corporate interests with clear conflicts of interest. Please stand up for Tallahassee and reject this forced deal.
