We are so happy to see that this project to restore three sloughs by removing sediment from previous dredging has come to fruition! It takes a lot of planning and study and then manpower to complete projects like this. I'm happy to say that FELSI helped with the permitting of the spoil location for this site, which was a small, but necessary component. Hooray for Apalachicola Riverkeepers & the Apalachicola River!

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role preferably located in Tallahassee, FL, for an Environmental Consultant (Project Manager – Wetland Specialist). The role involves managing environmental projects, conducting wetland assessments, ensuring environmental compliance, and preparing necessary environmental reports. The specialist will also liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams to deliver effective consulting services.
Qualifications
Expertise in Environmental Consulting, Environmental Compliance, and Environmental Impact Assessment
Proficiency in Report Writing and documentation related to environmental evaluations
Strong knowledge of Environmental Science principles and methodologies
Ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or related field
Field experience conducting wetland delineations and other ecological studies
Proficiency in botany and ecology
Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations is highly desirable
