Anyway, since our youngest is heading back to Florida this week for college, thought I would feature an animal that also prefers the lower latitudes found in Florida - the Black-bellied Whistling Duck. Hoping these ducks, and our daughter, all have a great year ahead!

Wildlife Swansday - Life is good watching these little ones grow. Did you know the baby swans are known as cygnets for the first year, and after about a year, the young birds begin transitioning into adulthood. Adult swans are then specifically referred to as Cobs for males and Pens for females. !
