We, the members of the Susanville Police Department, are committed to making our community a safe environment for residents and visitors alike. We will base our actions on the principles of our society in that all of our citizens have the right to be safe and secure in their daily lives. We will develop meaningful partnerships with our community to solve problems and address issues which affect th

e quality of life of our citizens. Your police department is made up of a group of dedicated people who take pride in providing quality police services to the residents and visitors of Susanville. If you have any questions or suggestions don’t hesitate to contact us. The Susanville Police Department has an authorized staff level of 21 employees. Of these, 17 are sworn peace officer positions. The peace officers include: the Chief of Police, a Lieutenant, three Sergeants, a Detective, a Narcotics Officer, a School Resource Officer and nine Patrol Officers. The remaining four are non-sworn, which hold the positions of Animal Control Officer, Community Service Officer, Youth Service Officer and Records Manager.
