While many of our adult residents enjoy the quiet months of September and October after a busy summer season, our youngest full-time residents are left with a dilemma – where to trick-or-treat! With houses emptied and winterized in the “off season,” our local children have few places to seek out candy on our beautiful island. However, we have changed that! The Surf City Police Department and the S
urf City Volunteer Fire Department would like to invite you to be a part of our second annual Trunk-or-Treat event. Trunk or Treat is a safe and fun-filled alternative to trick-or-treating, providing a designated place for our youngest residents to gather and get Halloween candy. This event will be held on Saturday, October 29th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm in the parking lot at the Surf City Volunteer Fire Department. A rain date of Sunday, October 30th has been set, if needed. We are welcoming sponsorships and donations to cover the costs of the treats, entertainment, and more to make this event free to the community. Additionally, we are looking for individuals/groups interested in registering their vehicle(s) to participate in the actual trunk-or-treating festivities. For more information, please contact Ptlw.
