Good Morning Everyone-

We’re excited to share that the 2026 MMIWP Awareness T-shirts are ready for pickup.

Pickup will be available at our office (18276 Hyak Ln.) from 11:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Please stop by during this time to collect your shirt.

This year, we had the privilege of working with students at CKA to design our shirts. There were many thoughtful and creative submissions, and after a peer-voting process the final design was chosen. Our 2026 MMIWP Awareness T-Shirt was created by Aubree Sandoval.

When speaking with Aubree, she shared that she wanted to “symbolize the silenced voices of Indigenous people who have been murdered and/or are missing.” She also worked closely with our team and the t shirt shop to bring her vision to life, incorporating elements of our MMIWP artwork created by Samantha Robson.

As these shirts were produced in a limited quantity, we encourage you to stop by during the pickup window if you’d like one. If you have any questions or need to make alternate arrangements, please feel free to reach out.

We would love to see the community come together by wearing these shirts at tomorrow’s annual MMIWP Walk, helping to show unity, remembrance and support for this important cause.

Hello everyone,

As we continue our MMIWP Week of Action, we invite you to stop by our office (18276 Hyak Ln.) today between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM to take part in several meaningful activities.

You’re welcome to:
• Pick up a bingo card (we still have some available!)
• Grab a prayer ribbon to tie along Suquamish Way
• Create a poster

Posters and ribbons will be displayed along Suquamish Way and throughout the month of May as a visible show of remembrance and solidarity.

For those who have already got a bingo, the first day to receive prizes will be May 7th. Anyone who completes a blackout on their board will be entered into a drawing for a special prize at the end of May.

We hope you’ll join us in honoring and uplifting this important work.

During this Week of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People (MMIWP), we gently invite you to join us in a shared moment of remembrance, care and community.

Today we’ll be hanging red prayer ribbons along the fence on Suquamish Way. Each ribbon is a way to remember someone who is missed and to show care for their families. It’s a simple, quiet way to come together, reflect and hold space for one another.

Red ribbons will be available from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Victim Services Office: 18276 Hyak Ln.

Please note that we are currently having a new door installed at the office. If it feels easier for your office or team, we are more than willing to bring ribbons to you. Please reach out at 360-979-6124 and we will make sure you are able to participate.

Today is Day 1 of our Week of Action dedicated to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People (MMIWP) Awareness.

In alignment with Suquamish Tribe Resolution #2023-096, Suquamish Integrated Victim Services continues to do its part in addressing the MMIWP crisis. We believe that increasing awareness is a critical step toward building stronger support and inspiring meaningful action.

This proclamation reflects an ongoing commitment to honoring those we have lost and standing with families and communities impacted by this crisis.

We ask for your support in amplifying this message by sharing this post across your social media platforms and with your friends, family and networks. Your voice helps bring greater awareness to this important cause.

And a quick note- sharing the proclamation might give you a head start on an upcoming activity.

Tomorrow marks the start of our Week of Action Bingo! Beginning at 12:00 PM, our office will be open for you to pick up your bingo cards. More details will be shared tomorrow morning.

We invite you to join us throughout this week as we continue to uplift awareness, share resources, and take action together.
