While last night’s result wasn’t what we had hoped for, I woke up today feeling grateful—not defeated.

For the past 10 years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve the community I’ve always called home. That’s something I’ll never take for granted.

I want to thank my wife and family for their constant support, and everyone who supported, encouraged, and believed in me throughout this campaign and over the years. It truly means more than I can put into words.

Through this role, I’ve had the chance to meet so many incredible people—city staff, residents, and others throughout the community—and many of those relationships have turned into lasting friendships that I’ll continue to value.

I’m proud of the work we’ve done, and even more proud to be part of a community like this.

Congratulations to Joe Radtke, and I wish him the best as he serves our community.

This isn’t the end—just a change in how I’ll continue to serve the community I love.

Got out to vote this morning with Ashley & Ava—we were #157–159 at 11:00 AM.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, and taken the time to talk over the past few months. It truly means a lot and has been a great reminder of what makes our community special.

If you haven’t had a chance yet, polls are open until 8 PM.

Election Day is tomorrow, April 7.

Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Northwood Technical College (Conference Center), 600 N 21st St.

In addition to City Council, there are important races for School Board, Wisconsin Supreme Court, and County Board—so take a few minutes to make your voice heard.

I’m grateful for the support I’ve received over the past 10 years, and I’d appreciate the opportunity to continue serving the 5th District for another two years.

🚨 Endorsed!🚨

I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of Superior Firefighters Local 74.

This is a group that doesn’t hand out endorsements lightly or get involved in partisan politics, which makes their support especially meaningful in a nonpartisan race like this.

I’ve worked hard to support our firefighters through staffing increases, necessary equipment purchases, and the resources they need to do their jobs safely—and I appreciate the trust they’ve placed in me to continue that work. Thank you Local 74 for your support!

Started yesterday morning chasing steelhead on the Brule, and then spent the afternoon knocking on doors around the district.

Only got skunked doing one of them—and fortunately it wasn’t the door knocking.

I’m honored to be endorsed by the Northern Wisconsin Building and Construction Trades Council.

Over the years, I’ve consistently stood with the building trades to support smart, responsible growth that moves Superior forward. This endorsement reflects that track record—and the values behind it.

I take seriously the issues that matter to the men and women of labor: good-paying jobs, safe working conditions, and a strong local economy. I’ll continue to be a reliable voice for those priorities on the council.

I’ve been out door knocking and talking with many of you about the upcoming election, and it hit me—I’ve been mentioning my website in person and including it on my literature, but never actually shared it here.

If you’d like to learn more about me, where I stand, or what I’ve been working on, you can find it all in one place:

You can also request a yard sign, make a donation, or get in touch directly.

I appreciate all the conversations, feedback, and support. It’s been a good reminder of why I’m committed to continuing this work.

My parents made a short trip up from Florida, and my dad immediately got recruited to help put up the large signs. Turns out his old city council sign-putting skills came right back — some things never retire!

Smaller yard signs will be going up over the next week. Send me a message here or a text (218-348-1779) if you’re in the 5th District and would like one. They’re a bit more yard-sized than these roadside billboards.

Although it’s not in the 5th District, I think the committee made the right call. Residents in that neighborhood were clear and vocal in their opposition, and it’s good to see their voices were heard.

It’s refreshing to see the process work the way it should — with community input leading the way.

The Public Works Committee postpones a decision indefinitely on ordinance changes that would have made Banks, Ogden and John avenues two-way streets.

I want to take a moment to thank the Superior Police Department and all surrounding agencies that responded to yesterday’s incident - the quick and coordinated response kept it from becoming something far worse.

Thank God no lives were lost, and this all happened early on a Sunday morning when no students or staff were anywhere near the school. We’re all relieved the officer who was shot was able to return home - your service means a great deal to this community. My thoughts are also with everyone impacted by this incident, and I’m glad they’re safe.

To the officers, dispatchers, firefighters, EMS crews and partner agencies - thank you. What you did yesterday, and what you do every day, means more to this community than we probably say out loud. We appreciate you.
