Billie Jo Underwood

Billie Jo Underwood Billie Jo Underwood represents District 3 on the Baldwin County Commission. Underwood, 50, is a Republican. Underwood states, “I believe I can make a difference.

Born in Foley, AL, she is a lifelong resident of Baldwin County. Her love for Baldwin County is the primary reason for her decision to run for office. I want to preserve and protect the quality of life in Baldwin County. My business and financial background as a Certified Public Accountant and my civic experience serving on the Summerdale Planning Commission and the Baldwin County Planning Commiss

ion has given me a unique perspective on how to plan for growth and development in the County while maintaining a vibrant local economy. As growth continues, we must properly manage impacts on our infrastructure such as roads, schools, and public safety as well as protecting our natural resources for future generations to enjoy.”

💚Thank everyone who put one of my yard signs on your private property. I’m very grateful.

We will be removing the larger PVC signs over the next few days and recycling ♻️ the plastic signage. Campaign signs can be recycled and taken to a CHaRM center at the Magnolia Landfill MRF or at the Fairhope courthouse or discarded however you find convenient.

This election cycle has been hard but I know God will equip those for what he calls you to do. It’s a bittersweet feeling right now with the results of some other elections, but there’s much work to be done and I’m ready to move on and keep forward. Baldwin County is such a wonderful place to live, work & play💚

In a world where you can be anything, be kind😊You never know what someone else is going through. I appreciate all the kind words that everyone has extended to me today.

County government should be easier to navigate, not harder.
To me, efficiency is a form of respect — respect for taxpayers and respect for people’s time. We can be growth-ready and service-minded. That’s been my focus, and it’s what I’ll continue delivering.

Protecting Baldwin County means planning for the future, not just managing growth today. I’m proud of the work we’ve done to strengthen solid waste operations, support a state-of-the-art recycling facility, and invest in smarter, long-term solutions that protect our land, water, and quality of life.

That’s responsible stewardship. That’s conservative leadership. And that’s how we keep Baldwin County moving in the right direction.
I humbly ask for your vote this Tuesday, May 19.

Baldwin County’s future depends on preparing our young people for real opportunities right here at home. I’m proud of the role our county played in helping make Baldwin Preparatory Academy a reality — connecting students with the skills, training, and career paths they need to succeed.

That’s smart growth. That’s workforce development. And that’s the kind of investment that strengthens Baldwin County for generations to come.

I humbly ask for your vote on May 19.

🌅5:28am-Taking the ♻️recycling can out to the road, listening to the 🕊️🐦‍⬛birds, and thinking about how God’s creation doesn’t live in worry—they just live in the purpose He gave them.

They don’t worry, they don’t argue—they just go about what they were created to do.

“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more of value than they?” Matthew 6:26

Stay focused, do the work, and trust the path in front of you.

Grateful for God’s provision🙌

I am truly honored to have the ENDORSEMENT and support of Commissioner Skip Gruber as I seek re-election to the Baldwin County Commission District 3 seat on May 19th— a countywide vote.

As Commissioner Gruber prepares to retire after more than 50 years of public service to Baldwin County — including 30 years as a county employee and the past 20 years as a commissioner — I am humbled by his confidence in me and the work we have accomplished together.

Skip’s knowledge of Baldwin County is unmatched. From his years in the highway department, he knows every road, every community, and the history behind so much of the progress we’ve made together.

Over the last 8 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving alongside him as we worked to move Baldwin County forward while protecting what makes it special. Together, we helped bring one of the largest economic development projects in Alabama history to Baldwin County with the $4.1 billion Novelis investment at the Mega Site — creating high-paying jobs and opening the door for even more opportunity in the future.

We also worked toward making the Baldwin Beach Express II a reality. With the TIF district created through the Novelis project, we now have a clear path forward to begin work on the extension between I-65 and US 31 within the next two years.

Commissioner Gruber wants to see the vision and progress we’ve worked so hard to achieve continue long after his retirement, and I’m grateful for his support and friendship.

Baldwin County has a bright future, and I remain committed to providing the steady leadership needed to keep moving us forward.

PLEASE VOTE next Tuesday-very important for the future of Baldwin County.
