Thank you to The Village Times (TBR News Media) for covering our August event! The article could not have summarized it better. This was a start to a conversation that is long overdue. The longer we hold off on talking your issues, the harder it’s going to be for Long Island to adequately support the next generation. 🏘️

The East End Visibility Brigade (East End Visibility Brigade) was really cool. We visited this past Sunday, a beautiful day as we wrap up the summer. Kerry Flanagan, Chapter Leader, showed Left on Long Island around and gave a brief interview on what they do and why.

This message gets out to thousands driving by, especially during a rush hour. Something important that cars may not see from afar, is that this event gives likeminded people a community and outlet to make a statement. More than anything, the members have fun!

The Brigade occurs every other Sunday on the bridges above of various highways around the east end. You can join this chapter’s group by checking them out on Facebook, or signing up for the next event on Mobilize. 🚗🌉📣

Left on Long Island and Stony Brook College Democrats’ Youth Town Hall was a success! The most important thing to making this event happen was having the willingness of our peers to engage. Without that understanding that change is possible, so long as there is action—we would not have had such a great event. Thank you to everyone who joined us.

The second biggest thank you goes to our amazing three moderators who asked the questions and gave their own personal insights to the candidates. Long Island is lucky to have you three as true leaders of the fight for our future here on Long Island.

Finally, we are so grateful for the candidates who showed up, listened, and offered their perspectives. The key to mobilizing any group doing exactly that: Showing up, listening, and making an offer.

📸: A Special Thanks to the Wonderful, Chris Acebo (Christopher Acebo)

The conversation was clear. Cost of living and lack of opportunities are driving our future into the ground. This impacts all the other areas, such as education, first time home buying, etc. and requires policy that hits the nail on the head. While we gained some great perspectives, the discussion must continue at full speed.

To the candidates, we hope this event gave insight to how vital policy for the next generation is at this moment in time, especially. To our attendees, please continue having these conversations and being loud about what you want to see.

If you were not able to join us, stay tuned for another Youth Town Hall styled event coming this fall at Stony Brook University! 🙌📣🇺🇸

There’s only a few hours left until our event! This is the last chance to join the Youth Town Hall!

There is nobody better to help moderate this discussion than a group of young, involved Long Islanders. Our three moderators know what it’s like to join the political conversation and talk issues, despite often being the youngest person in the room. 🤝

We are out here supporting our next New York District 1 Representative, Chris Gallant (Chris Gallant)! 📣👏

The first photo with some amazing women, the unstoppable Democratic Nominee for State Assembly District 7 Trish Kopp (Trish Kopp) and amazing former Congressional Candidate Jess Murphy (Jess Murphy).

A shot of our Vice President Magda Rodriguez meeting Congressman Raskin! And then Northport’s great Assembly District 12 Candidate, Craig Herskowitz (Craig for New York)!

These are just a few of the Long Island’s left that YOU want to see WIN. Even if you aren’t in their districts, follow them to show your support and check out their pages for opportunities to get involved. 🤝

Congressman and Democratic Icon Jamie Raskin (Jamie Raskin) came to Long Island in support of our Democratic Nominee for Congress, Chris Gallant (Chris Gallant). We hope you hear Congressman Raskin’s words and TAKE ACTION now through Election Day. Start conversations with people you know and become comfortable talking about issues, or just asking them to vote. 🗳️

We can win across Long Island, but everyone involved needs to keep growing the community. A big turnout happens little by little, person by person. Be part of the change Long Islanders need and do not wait until it’s too late.

Check out our page for volunteer and internship opportunities for Democratic and Working Families Party candidates across the island. 🔗📣💙
