The Georgia Chapter of NOBLE proudly supports chapter member and longtime leader Robert J. Ford in his campaign for NOBLE National 2nd Vice President.

With more than 30 years of dedicated service to NOBLE, Robert has served our organization at every level, from Georgia Chapter leadership roles including Sergeant-at-Arms, Treasurer, Vice President, and Chapter President, to Region III Vice President and National Board Member.

A U.S. Army veteran, former Special Agent in Charge with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and Life Member of NOBLE, Robert’s leadership has always been grounded in service, integrity, accountability, and a commitment to advancing NOBLE’s mission.

The Georgia Chapter of NOBLE was proud to be well represented at the 3rd Annual NOBLE International Affairs Summit held June 3–5 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

As NOBLE celebrates its 50th Anniversary, leaders from across the United States, the Caribbean, and the global diaspora gathered under the theme, “Justice Without Borders: Global Practices Protecting the Vulnerable.” The summit fostered important discussions, collaboration, and the exchange of best practices to address some of the most pressing public safety challenges facing communities today.

Among the important topics explored during the summit was human trafficking, highlighting the need for continued partnerships, awareness, and coordinated efforts to protect vulnerable populations.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Virgin Islands Police Department, led by Commissioner Mario Brooks, for hosting an outstanding summit and creating opportunities for leaders to learn, connect, and strengthen international partnerships.

Special thanks to Trebor Randle, Special Assistant for International Affairs, for coordinating the event.

Together, we remain committed to advancing justice, building safer communities, and leading beyond borders.

Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Luggage of Love! Through your generosity, we collected hundreds of bags for children in the custody of DFCS in Fulton and DeKalb counties.

For many children in foster care, their belongings are often transported in trash bags. A suitcase or duffel bag of their own may seem simple, but it provides dignity, comfort, and a sense of belonging during a difficult time.

If you didn’t make it out, you can still donate. The funds will be used to purchase additional bags.

President Ammons had the honor of attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the new City of Fairburn Public Safety Complex. Chapter member and Fairburn PD Chief Anthony Bazydlo, a 20-year veteran of the department, has played an integral role in the planning and development of this facility. Congratulations to Chief Bazydlo on seeing this long-anticipated project come to fruition.

This state-of-the-art investment reflects a strong commitment to public safety, community service, and the future well-being of Fairburn residents for generations to come. We look forward to you hosting a NOBLE meeting in your new community room!

Join us on Saturday, May 30 to make a difference in the life of a child in foster care. Did you know that some children in the system that have to move from place to place often times must use trash or grocery bags to hold their personal items? Help us give these young ones dignity by donating new or gently used carryon size suitcases, duffle bags, or backpacks. You won’t even have to get out of your car, you can just drive through and our volunteers will take care of the rest.

Sunday’s Missing Persons and DNA Event was a powerful example of what can happen when law enforcement, advocacy organizations, and the community come together with one shared mission: bringing answers and hope to families.

Hosted by the DeKalb County Cold Case Task Force, the event connected families with critical resources, allowed attendees to submit information and DNA, and facilitated important conversations surrounding missing persons cases across our region.

We are grateful to every agency, organization, volunteer, and community member who showed up, supported the mission, and helped make this event a success. Special thanks to our many partners, including the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office and the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office.

As National Police Week 2026 continues in Washington, D.C., we proudly stand alongside law enforcement leaders from across the nation in honoring fallen officers & strengthening partnerships that impact public safety and our communities.

Every missing person is more than a case file. They are someone’s child, parent, sibling, friend, or loved one.

We are proud to partner with the DeKalb County Cold Case Task Force for this important Missing Persons and DNA Event focused on supporting families, sharing resources, and helping bring answers to unresolved cases.

Representatives from multiple law enforcement and partner agencies will be on-site to:
• Take missing persons reports
• Update existing case information
• Share resources with families
• Assist with voluntary DNA submissions

We will also be distributing FREE child ID kits.
