PUBLIC REMINDER:

We want to keep our parks a safe, welcoming space for everyone in the community.

Please remember that foul or inappropriate language directed toward children will not be tolerated. At the same time, we also expect our youth to be respectful--Children will be held accountable for their actions/behavior as well.

If you ever experience or witness an issue, we encourage you to call Stevensville Town Hall (406-777-5271) or the Stevensville Police Department at (406-777-3011) so an officer can address the issue appropriately.

Let's all work together to keep our public parks in Stevensville a positive place for everyone to enjoy.

Montana’s old “Principal Feeds the Horse” Law:

Montana had an old statute that, if a student rides their horse to school, the school principal must feed and tend to the horse during school hours. Today this happened, and SPD was there to ensure compliance.

Congratulations to the 2026 Stevensville High School graduating class, and great work on the senior prank (in accordance with state law).

To all my brothers and sisters out there, thank you for your service and sacrifice. Happy Memorial Day!

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Stevensville American Legion Post #94 for their continued support of the Stevensville Police Department and the entire community. Your dedication does not go unnoticed-from proudly posting flags around town to supporting our schools and helping provide positive opportunities for our youth. Your efforts play a meaningful role in keeping our community strong, connected, and safe. We are truly grateful for all that you do to make Stevensville a better place.

The 1930 Ford Model A Tudor was provided for photos by Chuck & Cheryl Burgmeier of Stevensville. Look for the Chief and his new patrol car in the upcoming Creamery Parade.

American Legion: Honorary flag raised 5/13/26 1100 hours.

This American Flag was flown over the U.S Capital in honor of Richard Laubach's retirement from the U.S Navy serving from 1977-1986 and was donated to the American Legion Post #94 by Sarah Laubach in memory of her late husband, to be flown at the Veteran's Memorial Park in Stevensville.

Thank you to the American Legion Post #94 for raising the American Flags along the Cutoff Road walking path and in town on Main Street.

The Stevensville Police Department would like to thank Richard Laubach for his service to our country.

A big thank you to Ken Scrivner of Bitterroot Family Church and his family for their dedication to the Stevensville community.

We're especially grateful for Ken's service as our police department Chaplin, and his frequent check-ins with our staff.

The Scrivner family goes above and beyond, volunteering around town by watering plants, cleaning sidewalks, among many other things that simply make Stevensville a better place for everyone.

We truly appreciate all that the Scrivner's do for the Town of Stevensville.
