Debbie Aragon Rotary District 5440 President of the Year!
Help hus congratulate Debbie on a job well done!
District 5440 is one of Rotaryโs largest districts, encompassing northern Colorado, western Nebraska, the entire state of Wyoming, and one club in Idaho.
When Debbie's term as president began in July 2025, she clearly stated that her "main goal was to increase membership". Debbie reminded members at each meeting about her membership goal, and she started inviting community members to our meetings.
With a couple of new members every month the club has grown from 86 members to 102 members as of June 1, an increase of 16 new members - an 18.6% increase. The good news is that there are more new members "in the pipeline" and we will continue to grow the membership of this club. Debbie stated, "Our club has regained the energy of a club that everyone wants to belong to and we are considering a larger meeting venue.โ
The Steamboat Springs Rotary Club welcomes any community member hoping to make an impact on the Yampa Valley to consider joining the club at any of its regular meetingsโusually held on Tuesdays at noon at the Community Center. LobsterFest, Flower Barrels, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), Youth Exchanges and Service Trips, Scholarships, Grants to local 501(c)3 organizations, and just plain fun are hallmarks of the club, now in its 52nd year of serving Steamboat and Routt County. More information can be found about the club at www.steamboatrotary.org.
