Fact: There's MORE than enough funding to restore a 5-day week for our county Office for the Aging Senior Friendship Centers, expand our county's Domestic Abuse Response Team to protect women from domestic violence in all 22 local municipalities (not just four), restore our county's Human Rights Commission, restore our county Youth Bureau's cost-saving Project Return program for troubled teens to
keep them out of jail, restore our county's Office of Consumer Affairs, and make sure toxic toys and glyphosate are banned here in Dutchess, make sure pet stores here in our county don't take dogs from puppy mills, make sure our county incinerator is shut down-- if we end pay-to-play corruption in our county government, move towards zero waste, put solar on all county buildings-- and above all, stop wasteful/unneeded $300 million expansion of our county jail and $40 million annually in corporate welfare for corporations here in Dutchess County paying their workers poverty wages!
