News Nation Now periodically reaches out to interview me on crime stories. The conversations are limited due to the topic the host is talking about, time allotted and how much time has elapsed.

While preparing for the two interviews i observed law enforcement entering homes, setting up equipment, searching areas, and very few are wearing GLOVES. Margret Loveall and Joe Campbell berated me enough at crime scene about wearing gloves that six years after retiring I still find gloves in coat pockets.

Alert 360 is a great alarm company with their headquarters in Tulsa OK. Our house has their camera and surveillance system. When we experienced wifi interruption they called to inform us the cameras are down. I say this because the Guthrie case could hinge on cameras covering the roads of neighbors.

I speak of cases in podcast episodes 17, 32, and 2408. Typically there is no friction between local and FBI investigating the same case. As long as it is determined early on who is in charge. Stay Tuned.

Solve'em When You Get'em was started with the premise is podcasting for a purpose and not for promotion. Now opportunities happen for a reason, and when two young men that Tulsa PD arrested for murder cross my path I take pause to wonder Why. Podcast 2401 remembers arresting Payton Hendrick for murder when he was 14 to when he delivers my mail in 2023.

I have the opportunity. to assist Sandy Shea in teaching a crisis intervention class for police departments. (More later on that opportunity). We reached out to Dr. Stick and Matt Stick about telling their story to the class.

In 2012 Matt stabbed his mother, Veronica, killing her in the family home. We worked the murder and arrested Matt the same day. Through the devastation of having his wife killed by his son Dr. Stick never wavered on his support of his son. In 2015 Matt was declared Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity and sent to the OK Forensic Center until he was stable. 2024 Matt was released and is stable.

The Sticks spoke to the class in Claremore OK about their story. It was powerful and insightful. No pictures taken as not to capitalize on their story. Thank you Matt and Dr. Stick for their testimony.

Police departments have proven that solving crime is attainable. Using Tip sheets, intelligence based policing, Real Time Crime Centers, and the believe crime will be solved contribute to the success.

Preventing the next burglary, robbery, murder is now the Gold Standard. The profession will always need the cops to chase'em when you get'em. What if this idea of sending therapists to mental health calls is one of the reasons the crime rate is down?

Police officers spend less and less time on calls they can not resolve, and the patients/clients find therapy. Stay Tuned
