This week, the Brentwood Missouri Fire Department welcomed campers from Camp Fury STL, a Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri summer camp program designed to introduce girls to careers in firefighting, law enforcement, EMS, and other public safety fields.

The campers toured the station, learned about firefighting equipment, explored emergency vehicles, and met some of the firefighters who serve our community every day.

Thank you, Camp Fury, for visiting! We loved sharing a day of learning, leadership, and lunch with you!

The Brentwood Fire Department recently received specialized pediatric transport equipment through the Missouri Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Partnership Program, a statewide grant program administered through the University of Missouri.

Through EMSC’s Pediatric Readiness Program, departments receive advanced training and equipment designed to improve emergency care for children. Brentwood’s new pediatric transport equipment will allow our paramedics to safely transport children weighing between 10 and 100 pounds while maintaining full access to provide treatment during transport.

We are grateful for this partnership and for the continued investment in pediatric emergency care that helps us better serve Brentwood families and our community.

In honor of Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, the Brentwood Fire Department made a special delivery of some tasty goodies to the night shift this past Monday at East Central Dispatch Center.

It’s a small way to show our appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and calm professionalism these dispatchers bring to every call. Thank you for being the vital link that keeps our community safe, day and night.

Brentwood, it’s time to spring forward!

Before you head to bed tonight, remember to set your clocks ahead one hour for Daylight Saving Time.

Yes, we lose an hour of sleep… but we gain longer evenings and more sunshine. We’ll call that a fair trade!

Bonus tip: Use the time change as a reminder to check your smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries. If you’re unable to reach your detectors or need assistance, the Brentwood Fire Department is happy to help. Residents can call 314-963-8612 to schedule assistance.
