The sun is shining, and the learning hasn't stopped! ☀️

Today, hundreds of our elementary and middle school students kicked off their Summer Journey program. Over the next few weeks, they’ll be diving into interactive lessons, creative problem-solving, and collaborative activities designed to keep their minds sharp and their spirits high.

There is nothing quite like the energy of the last day of school in Affton. 💜💛

Today, our buildings were filled with a little bit of everything: tears from students saying their goodbyes, giant bear hugs for our amazing teachers, and pure joy as students (and teachers!) headed out the doors for summer vacation.

Moments like today remind us how lucky we are to be . We are so incredibly proud of every single student, teacher, and team member for their hard work, resilience, and heart this year. Check out some of our favorite moments from today's final dismissal across the district.

☕️📚 We love reading A-LATTE!

Last week, one Affton Early Childhood classroom transformed into "STARBOOKS,” hosted by everyone's favorite baristas, Ms. Josephine and Ms. Rubie!

Their littles brought their favorite books from home for some cozy, quiet reading time. To make the experience complete, they decorated their own lattes, enjoyed sweet drinks and pastries, and practiced some top-tier patience and communication skills while sharing with friends.

✨ Huge shout out to Starbucks for donating all the cups and pastry baggies to make this day extra magical for these AECC students!
