It's Apple Pie Week at the St. Clair Shores Senior Center (50+) !

Sales begin at the Senior Center on Wednesday, September 16 at 2 p.m. until Friday, September 18. About 300 pies will be available each day, and customers may buy only 2 pies. The price is $16 and is cash or check ONLY. All profits benefit the wonderful senior meal program. Send questions or concerns to the senior center at 586-498-2413.

We had a great chance to head over and check out the production happening at the St. Clair Shores Senior Center (50+). It's Apple Pie Week, and the volunteers are vigorously working to put together hundreds of pies to sell, starting Wednesday, September 16. Check out this assembly line of hard work and stop by the center to pick up one for yourself. Get there early, though, as pies always sell out fast!

Happy Friday! Did you know this week's trivia?

Question: Located near the intersection of Jefferson Ave. and 9 Mile Road, what is the name of the municipal building pictured?

Answer: ... The Chapaton Pump Station!

The Chapaton Pump Station is responsible for moving combined stormwater and sanitary sewage from the cities of St. Clair Shores and Eastpointe through the larger interceptor system. This pump station plays a critical role in managing the area's water flow, especially during heavy rain or storm events, by helping to handle excess water and prevent flooding.
