Clark County is releasing the results of its community survey regarding the proposed Public Safety Complex. The survey generated meaningful input from residents across the county, providing valuable input on a range of issues including the condition and future needs of public safety facilities, potential project costs, possible locations, and the perceived impact on the surrounding community.
Survey responses reflected a wide range of perspectives. Some participants emphasized the importance of modernizing aging facilities to support public safety operations, while others raised questions related to location, cost, and long-term community impact.
The Board of County Commissioners appreciates the time residents took to share their views. The feedback gathered through the survey will be carefully reviewed and considered as part of the County's ongoing evaluation of how best to address public safety facility needs in Clark County.
In light of this input, County leadership will take additional time to review the information, evaluate any new potential options, and provide updates to the community as the process moves forward. Additionally, the County has requested a three-month extension from City Commission, moving the zoning meeting originally scheduled for April 7, 2026, to July 14, 2026. We thank all community members who participated and contributed to this important conversation.
