Marine Corps Sergeant, and Iraq War Veteran. After my time in the military, I volunteered with Team Rubicon working with my Marine Corps brothers and sisters to provide disaster relief helping people in our local community, across the nation, and overseas. I also volunteer locally with Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen and Habitat for Humanity. Service is in my blood, I am proud of my service to our nation,
and I want to continue my service in our local community. I will work for greater fiscal accountability, and to make life more affordable for our Senior Citizens and Veterans. I will help to bring businesses large and small to our city, and to create more job opportunities to ensure a good standard of living for working people and lower and middle-income families. We need to support our local law-enforcement professionals. They are our friends and neighbors, and the vast majority want the best for the community they serve. Anti-police rhetoric accomplishes nothing except to divide our community. Our law-enforcement officers need our support, not our scorn. We should not be promoting defunding of our police, we need to provide greater funding for the equipment and training they need. The more training our officers have, the less likely it is for bad outcomes of police interactions to occur. More communication and transparency are the keys to good government. As a Councilor, I will make it my mission to connect with our citizens and to get public input. I will work tirelessly for the best interests of our community and the people I serve. Springfield has an opportunity to grow and succeed in ways that have not been possible before. It takes the right leadership and determination to get the job done!
