🚌 Safety First at Penns Valley!

Bus evacuations took place today at our schools to ensure our students are prepared and know what to do in the event of an emergency.

We appreciate all of our dedicated bus contractors and drivers who work hard each and every day to safely transport our students. Thank you for helping keep our Rams safe! 🐏

🏫 High School Masonry Project

In June, the Penns Valley Area School Board approved a masonry repair project at the high school to address needed improvements to the building.

Today, Dr. Hazenstab and Dr. Zesiger, along with the project engineer, visited the site with the contractor to check in on the progress and status of the work. They spent some time on the roof to visualize the work that has been completed.

We appreciate the continued attention to maintaining and improving our facilities and ensuring our buildings remain safe and welcoming spaces for our students, staff, and community.

Penns Valley Area School District is seeking a Head Varsity Softball Coach to lead our girls softball program.

We are looking for a dedicated, positive, and knowledgeable coach who will provide leadership for our student-athletes while helping to build and continue a strong Penns Valley softball program.

🤝 Learning to Listen, Collaborate & “Save Fred!” 🪱🛟

Today, our 4th graders at PVEI learned about collaborative pairs and why it’s so important to actively listen to others when someone is speaking. Throughout the school year, students will work with collaborative partners to share ideas, solve problems, and learn from one another.

To put those skills to the test, students took on the challenge of “Save Fred!” 🛟

Each team was given a gummy worm (Fred 🪱) and a gummy Life Saver (his life jacket). Their mission? Get Fred’s life jacket onto him using only paper clips…no hands allowed! 😲

It took communication, patience, creative thinking, and plenty of teamwork to complete the challenge. What a fun way to practice the power of listening and working together! 👏

🐏 HUGE SHOUTOUT TO PENNS VALLEY! 🐏

Congratulations to our Penns Valley students who were recognized as the 2026 Aspiring Historian Project Award winners! 🎉

This exciting program, launched in the spring of 2026, challenges high school students to explore and share Centre County history through their own research projects, utilizing both primary and secondary sources.

We are incredibly proud to recognize our three Penns Valley award winners:

🥇 1st Place – Hannah Herklotz
Aaronsburg — Research Paper

🥈 2nd Place – Brandt Martin
The Legacy of the Centre County Grange Fair — Research Paper

🥉 3rd Place – Hope Wolfe
The Old Improvement — Research Paper

A special THANK YOU and congratulations to Penns Valley High School Social Studies Teacher Mr. Martin Tobias for his leadership and mentorship in helping our students explore local history and develop their research skills.

All three Penns Valley students represented our school and community with pride, curiosity, and excellence. We couldn't be more proud of their accomplishments!

🎉 WELCOME BACK, RAMS! 🐏

The Penns Valley Area School District welcomed back our students and staff today after a great summer break! We hope everyone had a wonderful summer filled with fun, family, and plenty of memories.

We’re excited to have our hallways filled with students and our buildings buzzing with energy again. Here’s to a fantastic 2026–2027 school year!
