Due to current and expected weather conditions as well as current fuel moisture levels, open debris burning on all District 3 protected land is now prohibited.

Small cooking / warming fires are still currently allowed providing you follow regulations and use caution.

District 3 thanks you for your continued support. Let's all work together to ensure we have a safe fire season.

May is Wildfire Awareness Month, a time focused on prevention, preparedness, and protecting what matters, together.

Wildfires are largely preventable, with nearly 85% caused by human activity. Taking steps to reduce risk, prepare your home and family, and stay informed all play an important role in keeping communities safe.

Tomorrow, May 2, is Wildfire Community Preparedness Day. Remember that small actions can make a big difference. Take a few steps to reduce risk where you live:
• Clear dry vegetation and debris around your home
• Create and maintain defensible space
• Check local fire restrictions and conditions before outdoor activities
• Make a plan with your family in case of evacuation

Landing zone training with the Airlink 3 crew this morning. We're very thankful to have this resource available for the residents of Klamath County. Training sessions like this help our crews better understand what is expected on scenes where air ambulance medivac is required. Training and practice bring about better crew cohesiveness and scene performance which ultimately leads to better overall patient care. Big thanks to the Airlink personnel for their time and expertise this morning.
