Alex Pretti, a 37 year old United States citizen and nurse at his local VA hospital, was gunned down in the streets of Minneapolis this morning by a gang of armed federal agents. Pretti was lawfully carrying a concealed weapon he had a permit for, which he did not at any point draw on officers.

One officer can clearly be seen removing Pretti's weapon from multiple angles, before any shots were fired. A following video show agents performing CPR, and indicating that Pretti's gun had indeed been removed by the same agent before shots were fired.

Masked federal officers killed a good guy with a gun today, and the entire force of the U.S. government is being put into covering it up.

"We must all learn to live together as brothers, or we will perish as fools."

Dr. King’s words remind us that proximity is not the same as community. While technology has brought the world closer together, it is our moral character that must bind us together.

Today, we honor his life by pledging to stand against injustice and uplift marginalized voices. To truly honor him is to work toward a world where power rests with the people and every nation is concerned for the well-being of the next. Let us choose to live as a brotherhood, rooted in dignity and fairness for all.

Yesterday, Renee Good, a 37 year old United States Citizen and mother was executed by ICE while protesting executive overreach. Federal Agents were present in Minneapolis to 'crack down' on undocumented individuals. Instead, at the end of the day, a little boy will never see his mother again.

Yesterday was a tragedy, but it is not an isolated incident. The Trump administration has upended law and order by allowing untrained, ill-tempered, unstable individuals to administer justice in the name of 'law and order'. Over the last year we have seen innocent people, including hundreds of U.S. citizens, forced from their homes and taken to foreign prisons with no recourse for them or their families. In truth, we've been lucky that something like this didn't happen sooner.

When you don't respect law enforcement agents enough to adequately train your officers, this is what happens. When you don't respect law and order enough to strictly administer due process, this is what happens. When you don't respect public safety enough to ensure it above all else, this is what happens.

Yesterday was chaos and death, because at every step of the way this administration has chosen to prioritize vengeance over vigilance.
