2021 State Page Candidate Profile for Landon Tooke

Landon graduated from SFHS where he served on the Youth City Council. He lettered in football and was elected as Student Body VP. Landon was also chosen as a SBVP at UVU where he graduated in Business and Communications, with a leadership certificate. He has worked at BYU for 14 years, adjunct teaching at UVU and BYU, and was nominated class president for his Master of Public Administration program. Landon has served with the Fiesta Days parade committee and for 14 years volunteered with the Miss Utah Organization - the past 3 years as the State Judges Chair on the Executive Board. Landon is also a member of the Spanish Fork Chamber of Commerce. Landon’s vision for Spanish Fork is to grow responsibly and retain its small-town feel. He will fight for sustainable growth and sufficient infrastructure. Spanish Fork is a town of pride and progress, and as a team player with the city council and leaders, Landon will ensure this continues. Landon has a servant’s heart and is prepared to serve. As a council member he would provide vision and a connection with the citizens. He will represent residents of Spanish Fork! Landon and his family are invested in their community, and there to stay. Spanish Fork is their forever home.

Hello great Spanish Fork residents -

I wanted to give you a little runway on a possible upcoming change that would likely affect all of us, at least a little.

The City is moving toward getting rid of the permissive left turn (blinking yellow arrow) on Highway 6 and Center Street when turning left into Sunny Ridge.

If approved, this may be a slightly tough transition at first, but ultimately I believe it will make the intersection safer. The goal is to slow people down who are wanting to hurry through the turn, which has been putting them in the way of oncoming traffic coming down Highway 6 far too often.

Again, if approved, it may take a little getting used to, but hopefully it will make this busy intersection a little safer for everyone and I think we would all agree any help there is needed.

Dear Spanish Fork Friends,
I want to let you know that my door is always open. My goal is to create a safe space to discuss the Title 15 ordinance regarding a potential data center coming to our city.
I care deeply about making the right decision for our community. To do that, I am actively studying, researching, and - most importantly - listening. My job is to be your voice.

A few weekends ago, I experienced what I’m calling a “magical city service day.” I had the opportunity to help host the city Easter Egg Hunt, conduct live interviews for the Miss Fiesta Days Rodeo Queen Contest, and celebrate both outgoing and newly crowned Miss Spanish Fork royalties at the city’s 100th pageant anniversary.
