A few weekends ago, I experienced what I’m calling a “magical city service day.” I had the opportunity to help host the city Easter Egg Hunt, conduct live interviews for the Miss Fiesta Days Rodeo Queen Contest, and celebrate both outgoing and newly crowned Miss Spanish Fork royalties at the city’s 100th pageant anniversary. Councilwoman Beck and I captured photos at each event throughout the day - and they’re too good not to share. We had a great time! Stacy Beck Spanish Fork City Council

I am loving these City Council recaps by Adam! Amazing what he can do with a 3.5 hour meeting in such short time. Enjoy, and stay informed!

The city of Spanish Fork handed out 4,000 valentines to high schools in an annual event that started with one student's act of kindness.

Thank you AI for the killer caricature!
A little about me…and what I love most.

And for the record, my favorite candy bar is

I love this new direction the city's communication team is going, and hope you do too. I think summarizing the takeaways from city council meetings is so important, and in this new way, it's realistically digestible!

Now that the new FitCity Rec Center has been open for a few weeks, I’d love to gather feedback from you — or anyone you know who has used it. Spanish Fork City truly wants to understand people’s experiences, both positive and constructive, so we can make it the best possible experience.

I’ve already heard feedback such as the water being too cold, a need for hooks in the dressing rooms, clocks in certain areas, requests for more workout machines, and also how well-designed it is, how our seniors love their portion, and how exciting it is to have a city pool again.

Here are a few fun numbers from our first, few weeks:

Single-day records so far-

Daily Check Ins - 3,267 on Jan. 5
Day Passes Sold - 939 on Dec. 30
Total Attendance - 3,842 on Dec. 29

Total Memberships Sold - 5,932
Total Members - 18,640

If you have any helpful thoughts to share, I’d really appreciate hearing them so I can work with the city to continue to make FitCity the best FITting place for you! Thank you
