đşđ¸ DEFEND THE GUARD đşđ¸
Right now, the federal government can deploy your stateâs National Guard overseas without a formal declaration of war from Congress. That means Washingtonâs Guard can be sent into foreign conflicts without the full constitutional process ever being followed.
Defend the Guard is a simple idea: if Congress hasnât declared war, the Guard stays home. It forces accountability back into the system and makes sure the decision to send troops into harmâs way isnât made quietly or endlessly stretched out over time.
This isnât about isolation, itâs about following the Constitution and making sure war powers arenât abused. If leaders believe a conflict is worth it, they should be willing to vote on it.
Bring the Guard home unless war is declared.
