Honoring history and saluting our heroes. 🇺🇸. We paused to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and ensured our students understand the profound impact of that day. A special thank you to our Principal, Mr. Hebert Penton, for leading this vital remembrance, to MDCPS Board Chair Mari Tere Rojas, and the City of South Miami Mayor Javier Fernández for sharing their moving words with our Cobras. We also proudly recognize our dedicated JROTC students for their exceptional leadership and discipline. As Mayor Fernández beautifully stated, we extend our deepest gratitude to our first responders, firefighters, law enforcement, military, and all the brave agencies who selflessly “put their lives on the line for their neighbors.” We will never forget. ❤️🤍💙

Our senior clients kicked off a three-session nutrition course at the Gibson-Bethel Community Center in partnership with Common Threads and instructor David Wilensky.

The first session focused on Nutrition 101, with our seniors putting their lessons into practice by preparing Turkey Picadillo and Black Bean Mango Salsa! 👨‍🍳
