Due to current conditions on base and across Beaufort County, all MCCS facilities and the commissary will remain closed today.
Additionally, on-base liberty for Alpha Company has been canceled. We understand how important base liberty is but this decision was made in the interest of everyone’s safety. Families can still expect phone calls from their recruits though.
At this time, it is still premature to determine when normal base operations will resume. Command leadership teams are continuing to assess conditions and impacts across the depot. We will provide another update as soon as decisions regarding operations have been finalized.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these weather-related challenges.

We’re officially underway!
Last week, Recruiting Stations RS Jacksonville, Baton Rouge, and Columbia brought their educators to MCRD Parris Island for an immersive experience into the transformation process that turns young men and women into United States Marines. This week we have educators from RS Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando.
This is more than a tour, it’s a chance to understand the values, discipline, and opportunities the Marine Corps offers today’s youth. From the yellow footprints to the rappel tower to seeing our nation’s newest Marines, these educators experience firsthand what it means to earn the title. The impact these educators will carry back to their classrooms is immeasurable.
Upcoming Workshops
• RS Albany (NY) & RS New York (NYC Area): February 10 – 13
• RS Frederick (MD) & RS Harrisburg (PA): March 3 – 6
• RS Indianapolis (IN), RS Nashville (TN) & RS Louisville (KY): March 31 – April 3
