Please join us in welcoming Nicholas Phillips as the new Principal of Hardin-Jefferson Junior High School!
Mr. Phillips brings nearly two decades of experience in public education and a proven record of leadership as a high school principal, middle school principal, associate principal and instructional leader. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to student success, building strong relationships, fostering a positive campus culture and maintaining high expectations for all learners.
His accomplishments include being named Texas PTA Secondary Principal of the Year in 2023, TASSP Region 5 High School Principal of the Year in 2022 and TASSP Region 5 Middle School Principal of the Year in 2021.
A graduate of Lamar University, Mr. Phillips earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees there. He and his wife, Stacey, recently celebrated her 25th year in education as a Special Education teacher. They are proud parents of Madeline, a recent Cum Laude graduate of the University of Houston, and share their home with Hazel Grace, an Australian Labradoodle who proudly serves as the true head of the household.
