Welcome the 1996 Somerville High School Boy's Soccer Team as they have been inducted into the 2020 Class of the Somerville Athletic Hall of Fame. This team, to date, is the only Ville soccer team to become, not only Central Jersey State Champions and Skyland Conference Champions, but also Regional State Champions and Group State Finalists. Pictured here is Hall of Fame Head Coach and Home News Coach of the Year Ray Peachey. Players pictured- Bryan Thompson, Tom Laiso, Ernie Esparza, Pat Ryan, Dave Kodack, Bob Yuzuik, Sean Bielefeldt, Greg McQuade, Keith Gawreluk, Victor Alvarez, Joaxel Toro, John Ortega, The most prolific goal scorer in SHS History, Steve Dussan(alltime 42 goals in 32 games- 1.3 goals per game), Goal Keeper and single season Shutout record holder, Jeff Rettew, Captains- Henrik Arndt, Fred Boehm, Greg O'Neil, Steve Pelligrino, Brad Rawson(Hall of Fame) and Jon Sarles, Stat Terri Yakup. Not pictured are Assistant Coaches Tucker and Ollio. Players Josh Barbee, Reggie Ryals, and Ritam Bhalla. EricFowler, Molly James, Robert Loss, Tom McInerny, Matt Raposo, James Oller and the 1999 Gymnastics team are being inducted. Please let me know if you are interested in attending.

What have you been up to? On December 9, starting at 7:00 @ Mannion's on Main St. in Somerville, there will be a celebration in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Ville football's victory over Freehold for the state title. Dave Wilbur is setting it up all the way from Northern California.....come celebrate!

Athletic Hall of Fame dinner is Monday, November 10, 2014. This year's inductees: Vince Mensi, 1947; Vincent J. Manara, 1948; James T. Rick, 1955; Ty Klock, coach and graduate of SHS: 2009/1969; Billy Hotz, 1977; Pete Roethke, 1982; Keicey Castle, 1992; 1994 Girls' Cross Country Team; Steve Rawson, 2001; Bryan Oelkers, 2003; Dan Stiles 2008; Jillian Hart, 2009. If you are interested in attending the event, please let me know and I will send you an invitation. If you would like to donate an ad to this fundraising event for the athletes of Somerville High School, I will also send you an ad letter, whether or not you attend the induction ceremony at Neshanic Valley.
