Heiman Fire Equipment recently finished construction on a brand new manufacturing facility and office in Sioux Falls, SD. This 39,094 square foot, energy efficient building features a 27,332 sq. production area, two-story office, state of the art downdraft paint booth, indoor pump test tank, SCBA and electronics testing & diagnostic center, a truck delivery showroom, customer lounge, and much more. The new facility combines all three local divisions of Heiman Fire under one roof. Heiman Fire’s sister company, G3 Fire, which fabricates copolymer polypropylene tanks and products, is now housed in the former truck plant. Rosenbauer truck sales are currently managed in house as well. This allows for more efficient communication and workflow between all divisions of the company, and provides customers with knowledgeable staff during every phase of the purchasing process. showroom, fire departments are now able to take delivery of their new apparatus in-house and walk through each component with their sales reps within the comfort of the facility. Questions, demonstrations, and additions can be addressed and completed efficiently during this time. Innovation is reflected in every aspect of the building from the energy efficient, automatic LED lighting and radiant floor heating, to the 15,000 gallon in-floor pump test tank. A key new added feature is the downdraft paint booth which pulls paint overspray and contaminants downward and away from the painted object. This reduces the risk of dust and overspray contamination and provides a safer environment for the painter since the overspray is instantly pulled down and away. This also allows for a cleaner finish and less corrections after paint is dry. The building also features a two-story rock climbing wall, and a fitness room for employees.

In this demo, the suction hose is lifted out of the water, removing load from the pump.
What happens next is by design:
• Engine RPM increases rapidly
• The User Interface Module flashes blue
• The pump automatically shuts down
The event is logged immediately in the MyWATERAX App:
• Last shutdown reason: Overspeed
• Full event history is recorded and available
Connection is via Bluetooth®—
no cellular service required
The pump operates independently, with built‑in safeguards that respond automatically when operating conditions change. It’s a protection system designed to prevent damage before it happens.

pump overspeed • automatic shutdown • suction loss protection • Bluetooth diagnostics • MARK‑3 Watson • pump protection system

Forget a gaming room. We want a gaming rig. 🏎️💨

Meet the Rosenbauer Walk-in Rescue in Ignite. This isn't just a truck; it’s a 49-foot mobile command center. When the scene gets complex, this is where the strategy happens.

Why this is the ultimate flex for your fleet:

Mobile Office: Fully modeled interior with computer stations and command desks. It’s the "Brain" of the fireground. 🖥️🧠

Storage for Days: Enough room for every piece of rescue tech you can find in the game.

Massive Presence: At nearly 50 feet long, you don’t just arrive at the scene—you own the scene.

The Dealer Detail:
You’ll notice the crew in the clip is decked out in Fire-Dex AeroFlex®. As a Fire-Dex dealer, we love the Walk-in Rescue because it gives the team a place to rehab and gear down while staying protected. In the game and in real life, Fire-Dex gear is designed to be as versatile as this truck. 🧥🛡️

Ever wonder why the Aero-Flex and FXR shoulders are a game-changer? Brent Hughes, our resident PPE Specialist at Heiman Fire, breaks down the innovation behind these designs.

Traditional coats have a break point that can lift the entire garment when you raise your arms, potentially leading to exposure and fatigue.

Enter the "Patagonia design"—a concept borrowed from the mountain climbing industry. By moving the break point inward, the coat stays put even when your arms are up. This means better protection, less fatigue, and maximum comfort during the toughest jobs.

Have questions about your PPE? Brent is here to help. Reach out today.
