A Bold Future for the NAD: Welcoming Our New CEO

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Board of Directors is thrilled to announce the appointment of Nicholas Kiego as the next Chief Executive Officer, officially taking the helm on August 1st, 2026.

In this special video announcement, NAD President Stephaine Hakulin expresses the Board’s full confidence in Nick’s strategic vision, which focuses on rebuilding trust, ensuring financial stability, growing membership, and honoring the NAD’s powerful legacy. The Board also extends its deepest gratitude to Interim CEO Dr. Bobbie Beth Scoggins for her outstanding leadership, stability, and dedication over the last two years.

Meet the New CEO in Person this Summer! This transition marks a historic new chapter for the federation. Affiliates, members, and community members are invited to meet Nick in person and help chart the organization's future at the 58th Biennial NAD Conference in San Francisco (June 30 – July 5, 2026).
