Alpine club members helped with some trail maintenance in the San gabes this weekend! The torrential rain lately has been wrecking our beloved trails. Here you can see the section of the Mount Wilson trail we worked on, where fallen trees had dragged about 3 feet of dirt over the trail. We lowered the surface back down to the original level and reinforced the sides with natural features!
Big thanks to the Sierra Madre Trails Crew for having us. Come join us next time and show some love to the local trails!

Join us for a night of exploring what happens when science and outdoors meet! Jose will take us on an incredible journey through breathtaking photos and videos, sharing the story of a group of scientists who ventured to the most remote and harsh continent on Earth: Antarctica. Their mission was to build and launch a large far-infared telelescope from the bottom of the world, surrounded by ice and extreme cold, to study our galaxy and other galaxies from the stratosphere. Along the way, they also had the opportunity to hike every day in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Don’t miss this amazing adventure!

Join us for a night where Emily () will tell to us about her journey in the outdoors and how she wrote a book about it! She will focus on human resilience, the importance of doing big scary things, and how home isn’t a point on a map, but a place inside ourselves. But we’re going together there by talking about epic adventures in Grand Canyon, Gates of the Arctic, and Hawaii Volcanoes.
