Cheyenne County is proud to join counties across the nation in Operation Green Light, a campaign led by the National Association of Counties and the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers to honor and support our veterans.

📅From November 4-11, we invite Cheyenne County residents and business owners to participate by lighting your homes, storefronts, and buildings in green as a visible show of gratitude for the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes.

The Cheyenne County Courthouse is glowing in green, symbolizing our community’s appreciation and unwavering support for those who have served as we work with our federal, state and local partners to ensure that the former service members have access to the resources they need to thrive.

Good news for Nebraskans! The Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) began issuing REAL ID compliant credentials in 2013. With driver’s licenses and state identification cards renewed every five years, this means all valid Nebraska DMV cards in circulation are REAL ID compliant.🔎To see if your ID is in compliance, visit https://www.dhs.gov/real-id and click on your state.

Media credentials for Nebraska courts expired at the end of March 2025. Journalists who wish to continue participating in media pools or using approved electronic devices in courtrooms must apply for a new credential every two years.
