is coming up Friday, August 28th at the Boots on the Ground 2026 Convening — doors open at 9am, featuring a GOTV Blitz across the city from 5pm-8pm. This training will help us to translate our collective vision into the communities that need us. We’re not just answering the question “How do we really win?”, we are putting boots on the ground behind it.

Participants will have 3 training tracks to select from including:
1)Political Education
2)Organizing and
3)Getting Out the Vote (GOTV)

Saturday evening at 6 PM, we’re bringing together concerned citizens, organizers, community leaders, and everyday people from across Louisiana to wrestle with that question—and more importantly, to organize around the answer.

We are honored to welcome Attorney Kristen Clarke for opening remarks. Clarke made history as the first woman to lead the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice and now serves as General Counsel of the NAACP. More special guests to be announced.

This isn’t just another gathering. This is a Mass Meeting, designed in the tradition of the powerful gatherings that have always been part of how our people build movements—spaces where everyday people came together to learn, strategize, get activated, and organize themselves for transformative change.

Because change has never come simply because we needed it.
