$Y$TEM CHANGE! NOT CLIMATE CHANGE!

On Saturday, November 28th, Move to Amend of S. E. Wisconsin members participated with several environmental groups, including 350.org in celebration of the upcoming Paris talks on climate, COP 21. There were over 2,000 such marches this weekend worldwide, and on every continent except Antarctica. We are the first generation to understand climate change and the last generation to be able to stop it!

It is up to us.

So, we rallied at City Hall and heard excellent speakers. We carried our anti-corporate flags and a sign that said: System Change, NOT Climate Change". Then, we marched from the front of City Hall to Zeidler Park, about 8 blocks, and stood in front of WE Energies for our rally and more speakers.

We had a delegation speak with the leadership at WE Energies, the Wisconsin energy provider for much of the state, and told them what we think they should be doing:
1.) Be a leader in the field of renewable energy.
2.) Transition quickly to 100% renewable energy - solar & wind!
3.) Shut down your coal-powered plants.
4.) Support EPA's Clean Power Plan.
5.) Reduce, do not increase, fixed electrical rates, to encourage conservation.

At the rally in from of WE Energies, we signed our names to the poster that stated our demands, and this will be delivered to WE Energies next week!

Eeeekk! This is the scariest thing to happen on Halloween!
Another Time Warner Cable merger has risen from the dead co**se of the Comcast/Time Warner merger -- creating a direct-to-DVD sequel to last year's Mergerocaplyse!

This time it's Charter Communications, the third largest telecommunications giant, behind both Time Warner and Comcast. Where Comcast failed, Charter Communications thinks they can succeed -- and consolidate corporate power to create a near monopoly in cable and internet service across the country. There's ghoulish fiends lurking in every dark corner of this deal -- rising prices, slower speeds, hefty fines and ... HORRIFYING CUSTOMER SERVICE!

But gather your courage -- we stopped this once, we can do it again. Progressive activists like you and me leapt into action during the Comcast/Time Warner Mergerocalypse. And we shut it down! We can do that again, but only through strength in numbers.
