Squads 810 and 811 went into the shop and got some TLC. To enhance the safety and privacy of our patients, window coverings were placed on the rear windows.

For this months EMS Training, we took over Chief Rocks pool to perform water rescue scenarios by using different methods to maintain patients Cervical Spine to prevent paralysis and rapid extrication techniques.

The second session consisted of treatment on a drowning victim up to Medication Assisted Intubation. When performing MAI, the entire team needs to be involved, work together, maintain a delicate airway and even double check the Paramedics medication dosing.

Congratulations to Jacob Bowers on obtaining his VFF Certificate once more! Jacob was initially on the fire department and moved away and let his cards lapse. Now he’s back in the area and recertified!
