Dropping 🔥Flames🔥 Fundraiser

The Sherman Volunteer Fire Department is made up entirely of dedicated volunteers who serve our community. This annual fundraiser helps support equipment, training, and operational needs throughout the year.

This year, we're trying something new and exciting—Dropping Flames!

On July 4th, we will drop stress-reliever flame 🔥emojis from more than 100 feet in the air onto a target. The flame that lands closest to the bullseye will win $1,000, and second place will win $500!

Join us for a fun-filled Independence Day event while supporting the volunteers who help protect our community. Every flame purchased helps the Sherman Volunteer Fire Department continue serving the citizens of Sherman.

Today Sherman Fire Department is training is different scenarios. Several members are training at the Pontotoc Fire Department Training Center on structural Fire. And 1 member is in Jackson at the MS State Fire Academy training on CO2 Emergency Pipeline Response. Sherman Fire Department members are always training and ready to attack any situation.

Members of Sherman Fire Department will be at the station throughout the weekend monitoring the weather and ready for emergencies. Please stay off the roads if at all possible. Santa has landed in Sherman, MS and is about to deliver present all around town. So boys and girls make sure you are tucked tight in bed. And no peeking. From all of us at Sherman Fire Department Sherman Police Department and Town of Sherman. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 🎁🎅

🚨🚒🎅🏼 SANTA ALERT! 🎅🏼🚒🚨

Ok all you little boys and girls. Head Elf Frosty has informed Chief McMurry that Santa has entered into Sherman. And will be landing within minutes. 🎄✨

So all the little boys and girls, time to get in bed.

Sherman Fire Department has obtained footage of Santa's dashcam and will posting his landing soon.

Ok all you little boys and girls. Head Elf Frosty has informed Chief McMurry that Santa has entered into Mississippi. And will be arriving in Sherman within the hour. 🎄✨

So all the little boys and girls, get those cookies and milk put out and get ready for bed. Santa will be here soon.

Chief McMurry has been staying in contact with Head Elf Frosty from the North Pole. Frosty advised Chief McMurry that Santa is coming across the Atlantic Ocean enroute to the United States at this time. Frosty also said because of the warm weather to please leave extra cookies and milk out for Santa and his reindeer so they'll get plenty of energy. 🎄✨ Santa is still on track to arrive in Sherman around 8:30 or 9:00 PM.

So all the little boys and girls, get those cookies and milk put out and get ready for bed. Santa will be here soon.

🚨🚒🎅🏼 SANTA ALERT! 🎅🏼🚒🚨

Chief McMurry has been in contact with Head Elf Frosty from the North Pole, and we have some magical news! 🎄✨ Santa is on track to arrive in Sherman around 8:30 or 9:00 PM.

The Sherman Fire Department will be setting up a special Landing Zone to ensure Santa and his reindeer can safely land and visit all the good little boys and girls in town. Head Elf Frosty has asked that everyone head to bed early so Santa can deliver gifts and continue his journey quickly and safely.
