At SoldiersVillage, transportation has been a major hurdle. We're not in a walkable area and most residents don't own cars. Thanks to a kind donation, we gifted a veteran a vehicle that fits the whole household! We're aiming high this year! Join us on our mission to end veteran homelessness in North Texas! 🪖🇺🇸

This was a little more work than expected but we did it! A travel trailer was generously donated to us. We knew it needed some new tires and new batteries to get the slide in to prepare it for transport. Turns out, the switch for the slide out needs to be repaired so we had to manually override it. Thanks to our dedicated volunteer and Watson Mobile RV Repair that swooped in at the last minute to help is with the mobile override. Now just to transport in the morning!

Pottsboro friends-

SoldiersVillage has received a generous donation of a travel trailer that will be used to house a homeless veteran. We will transport it from Pottsboro to Bonham, BUT it has flat tires and i need help changing them. Message me if you can help.

Yesterday, one of our guys got their spot at the Clyde Cosper home in Bonham. We are so excited for him to make new friends and get settled in! Soldiersvillage is a stepping stone to permanent housing and that path looks different for everyone.
