The Shepherd University Republicans was founded in 2005 by Claudia Funes and Jake Johnson, with the purpose of creating both a political and conservative group that would welcome debate and fairness. Our purpose has two goals: to be an academic and debate oriented organization that promotes excellence and thought at Shepherd University and to promote the election of qualified Republicans to political office.
