The Iowa Department of Veterans Affairs is aware of 'Veteran Savings Program' postcards being distributed nationally and in Iowa. They are NOT RELATED TO ANY State of Iowa or U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs programs. They originate from a for-profit marketing effort targeting a veteran audience, and only appear 'official' to generate attention. We advise anyone considering contacting the entity to exercise discretion, and contact your provider, or Iowa Medicare/Medicaid at 1-800-338-8366 (Toll Free) before making any final decisions. We remind everyone, by law, no veteran has to pay for assistance with their federal VA benefits.

Hy-vee in Shenandoah and Clarinda have a Veterans breakfast from 6-10 am

The VFW in Shenandoah has a Veterans lunch from 11-1 (603 W Lowell Ave.)

The Eagles Shenandoah has a Veterans supper from 5-7 pm (709 W Thomas Ave)

Mondo's in Shenandoah Veterans get 20 percent of your meal all day.

Fareway Stores offer 15 percent discount to veterans and active service members.
