Our Shawnee Kansas Police Department and Shawnee Kansas Fire Department are truly amazing groups. They have top accreditation in their fields. But what I really love is their connection to the community. The number of volunteer and community outreach hours these teams do is phenomenal. Thank you!

Whats a better way to kick off summer than going to Shawnee's iconic Old Shawnee Days!
We're hanging out watching the band tonight and then are looking forward to riding in the parade and some rolle bolle over at the Sister Cities park tomorrow. Come join us!!

I realized I forgot to post about a few local events recently.
Moonlight Market kicked off in May and it was an absolute blast. We got to spend time with some awesome friends, had delicious freeze dried candy from ReeRee's, and tour police and parks and rec vehicles.

Who would have thought? Ha. We all did, right??? Shawnee is an amazing place to work and live.

Did you know our Chamber of Commerce, Police Department, Fire Department, and Parks and Rec all have the highest accreditation possible in their areas? Not many cities can boast that.

I am absolutely in awe at the opportunity to serve this amazing community. The people, services, and groups we have here are unrivaled.

Thank you to everyone who came out to my town hall on Tuesday! It was a great turnout, and I truly appreciated the thoughtful conversations.

We covered a range of important topics, including stormwater concerns, the rising cost of living, neighborhood speeding, and potential development in the area. I especially enjoyed speaking with residents who were simply looking to stay informed and get more involved - showing up and engaging in your community is one of the most impactful things you can do.

I also had the chance to share updates on the 2027 budget process, gather input on sidewalk needs, and talk about some of the city projects I’m most excited about.
