Who would have thought? Ha. We all did, right??? Shawnee is an amazing place to work and live.

Did you know our Chamber of Commerce, Police Department, Fire Department, and Parks and Rec all have the highest accreditation possible in their areas? Not many cities can boast that.

I am absolutely in awe at the opportunity to serve this amazing community. The people, services, and groups we have here are unrivaled.

It's official: Shawnee is the #1 Best Place to Live in Kansas in 2026-2027 according to U.S. News and World Report, and #55 in the nation! 🏑πŸ₯‡

U.S. News and World Report ranks cities based on Value, Quality of Life, Desirability, and the Job Market. We are so proud of the work put in by our residents, business community, City of Shawnee, KS Government departments, and the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce team to make Shawnee the BEST place in Kansas to live, work, and play. This is only the beginning, and Shawnee's greatest days are still ahead.

Thank you to everyone who came out to my town hall on Tuesday! It was a great turnout, and I truly appreciated the thoughtful conversations.

We covered a range of important topics, including stormwater concerns, the rising cost of living, neighborhood speeding, and potential development in the area. I especially enjoyed speaking with residents who were simply looking to stay informed and get more involved - showing up and engaging in your community is one of the most impactful things you can do.

I also had the chance to share updates on the 2027 budget process, gather input on sidewalk needs, and talk about some of the city projects I’m most excited about.

Thanks again for taking the time to be there and be part of the conversation.
