Town Of Sharpsville IN. Sharpsville is a quiet town in Liberty Township, Tipton County Indiana. The town was named after founder E.M. Sharp and was platted on May 24, 1850.

It was originally the county seat but was later changed to the city of Tipton.

We are so excited to see all the people asking questions regarding the Free Throw Contest. Here is what we know. The Free Throw Contest will be held after the dedication. So be there before 3:30 to sign up. We assume they will divide into groups, depending on the number of people interested. Do a rain dance so we can also have the Lights Over Sharpsville fireworks.

Sharpsville is having a Summer Bash!!!! It will be held on Saturday, August 1st from 11:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. !!! The festivities will be kicked off with a Parade and we want you to be in it! Please decorate your golf carts, strollers, bikes, or wagons any way you want, there will be a contest for best decorated float!! Be at the park by 11 so you can get lined up! The Parade will begin around noon. The route will be from the Park to Main, Meridian, and Cleveland Streets then back to the Park to enjoy all the food, fun and games. There will also be rock painting and raffle items to help start the school year! This will be so much fun you won’t want to miss it!!!!

The Sharpsville Methodist church will be hosting Vacation Bible school on Tuesdays, July 7,14,21,28th from 6-8 p.m..
The theme this year is “Illumination Station: Shining the Light of Jesus!” There will be a lot of fun activities, crafts, music, songs and yes, there will be snacks. 😉
We can’t wait to see all the kiddo’s!!!!

It looks like we could have some nasty weather. We wanted everyone to know the Methodist Church will have their basement open for a safety shelter when the tornado siren goes off! Batten down the hatch!!!
