6/6/26 - House Fire, Box 8-5 (Boonsboro Fire Department)

Last night at 2246hrs (10:46PM), Company 11 was alerted to assist on a working house fire in Boonsboro Fire Company - Rohrersville Stations first due area on Kaetzel Rd. Engine 11-2, Engine Tanker 11, and Support 11-0 responded.

Engine 11-2 and Support 11-0 arrived and assisted with fire attack. Engine Tanker 11 arrived as the second tanker and began to supply Frederick Paramedic Engine 5-2. The crew from Engine Tanker 11 assisted with water supply, including using Engine 11-2 to supply water, until released from the scene. Once the fire was under control, Company 11 crews assisted with overhaul and operated on scene for 3+ hours.

💦 B-Shift took advantage of the warm weather today to get some drafting training in. Most of south county is in areas without hydrants, this means we have to get our water from other sources such as: ponds, creeks, rivers, pools, etc. It’s very important our personnel stay efficient with how to draft water from these sources.
